Welcome to the Local Area Guide for Stanwell
Stanwell is an area just east of Heathrow Airport which was expanded to include a large residential housing estate. The area lies north of Ashford and is boxed in by the M25 to its left.
At the heart of Stanwell is Stanwell Village which can be dated back to before the Doomsday book in 1089. To the east of the Village is the small residential area of Stanwell Moor, whilst to the south is the main residential expanse Stanwell.
The main benefit for those living in Stanwell is its close proximity to Heathrow Airport, Ashford and Staines. Good road links also allow easy access to the M25, A30 (London) and A308 (Kingston). On a downside though, Stanwell relies heavily on its neighbouring towns as it lacks any shopping or entertainment facilities.
